Over 3 years ago, I moved from Minnesota to Texas to begin college here at Texas State. To say I was terrified would be an understatement! I knew absolutely no one, I had no idea what to expect from recruitment, and I really doubted if a sorority was something that I could stick with for 4 whole years. As I begin my senior year, I catch myself reflecting on my time with Zeta, and I am here to tell you that it has changed my life for the better. The girls I’ve met through Zeta have stuck by me through thick and thin and have helped me through the most difficult points in my life, and I’ve grown more as a person than I ever knew possible. I remember opening my bid card and seeing Zeta Tau Alpha on it, and immediately knowing that I found my home away from home. When I got homesick for Minnesota, I knew I had my Zeta sisters to lean on. This led me to want to live in the Zeta house my sophomore year, which was one of the best decisions I’ve made in college! Sticking with Zeta for this long has been so easy, and I am so so so sad that I have to graduate and leave Zeta behind. For anyone who is doubting if sorority life is for you, my advice is to give it a shot, because if I could go back, I’d still go through recruitment, and I’d definitely still go Zeta!!!
